A Message from the IPRC Director

Greetings from the IPRC! 2009 was another great year for the IPRC: we served a record number of members, launched a new year-long certificate program in Creative Writing/Comics and Independent Publishing, and scored a perfect-binding machine.

With so much forward momentum, we can’t help but imagine new ways for the IPRC to grow: we hope to rent more workspace in our current building (which is now solar-powered!), increase staff pay and benefits, and purchase new computer equipment.

A bigger and better IPRC is on the horizon, but we absolutely need your support to make it happen. And this year, donating to the IPRC has some serious rewards: thanks to the Willamette Week’s Give!Guide, a donation of just $25 will score you awesome incentives like concert tickets, a Powell’s pint glass, and a MusicFestNW compilation CD. Plus, donating just $25 through the Give!Guide will earn you a three-month IPRC membership, or extend/renew your current membership! To make a secure online donation, simply visit wweek.com/giveguide on or after November 11th.

Another way to support the Center is by taking one of our excellent workshops, including Intro to Letterpress, Bind-Fast 5 Perfect Binding, Intro to InDesign or DIY Screenprinting. To sign up for a workshop, simply click a workshop link to the left, and follow the online registration directions.

Hope to see you soon,

Justin Hocking, Executive Director
